What If You Want To Go To The World?

What If You Want To Go To The World?

A dilemma that many young Christians and teenagers face in modern times is the desire to go out into the “world.” Some were born into a Christian environment and have never experienced parties, nightclubs, “hooking up,” drinking, drugs, and other things that are out there. This creates a curiosity in them to get to know the “big world.”

If you are a young Christian and feel this desire, know that it is normal and understandable to a certain extent, due to the countless temptations that we suffer routinely, but making this decision is still wrong. See what the Bible says:

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15

“The world” is Satan’s system implanted in everything to lead people into sin (not to be confused with the planet Earth, which belongs to God according to Psalm 24). As Christians, we cannot fall for this. See what the Bible goes on to say:

''For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.'' 1 John 2:16 and 17

In other words, the Bible is saying that the ''world'' is an illusion. Certain momentary pleasures of sin do not compare with the glory of God promised to us, for the glory of God is eternal.

The principle of public examinations and college entrance exams applies here. You can go and take these tests however you think best and fail about 50 times until you pass one, or you can learn from more experienced candidates and reduce this time and suffering by half. Instead of trying out the world and doing badly afterwards, it is better to learn from the experience of so many people who went into the world and later repented.

It is important to remember that young Christians can date, go out, travel, have friends, play sports, study and do anything else that does not clearly contradict biblical precepts. However, sinful practices are expressly forbidden because they are not good for physical, psychological or spiritual health.

If you have unfortunately already walked the path of the "world", there is still hope. Return to the arms of Jesus as soon as possible. He is waiting for you to give you a new opportunity. Seek to have an experience and a relationship of friendship with Him.
