John 14:6: "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.''

"Mere Christianity" was a theological concept explored by C.S. Lewis (the famous author of *The Chronicles of Narnia* and an Oxford professor) in one of his works. For him, first and foremost, a human being had to believe in the basic doctrines of Christianity—such as the incarnation, the resurrection, and the new birth. This is what he called "mere Christianity." He championed this aspect of Christianity throughout his life following his conversion.

After believing in and understanding these fundamental doctrines, a Christian would choose which specific theological tradition to follow—whether Arminian, Calvinist, Anglican, and so on. C.S. Lewis’s thought prompts us to reflect on the need to sincerely seek God's presence. While it is true that we all have our weaknesses, we must seek change and direction in God.

We need to return to the foundations of the Christian faith. True faith involves the new birth (a transformed life) and the hope of Christ's return. We must uphold a faith that awaits the Lord's return, maintains a direct connection with Christ, values ​​the reading of Scripture and prayer, acknowledges its errors, and exalts God. It is only in Christ Jesus that we find hope.
